Your comment on the GOP-E as enabling the betrayal of America is apt, but part of the problem is that the cadres of the management of major corporations--which have the ear of the GOP-E--have bought into the collectivist/egalitarian fantasy that you can change people by manipulating their social environment, while benefiting in the meantime by cheap labor, and a more extensive market in which to sell.

Their focus has been myopically directed to a perception of short-term advantage, with a future that will somehow magically take care of itself. Of course, the Corporate Managers have rather a socialist bureaucratic mindset, of their own, so they tend to like big government planning. Major corporations have helped finance the democrats and gop-e. I’ve helped some of these rino &@$!@*^$ in the past with votes, money and work but never again.
