That's certainly what Blatter (and Putin, for that matter) are trying to make people believe. But the fact is, everyone knows these guys are dirty. The fans are all cheering the US on. But the crooks in charge will stick together and maintain the fiction so that they continue to profit from the status quo.

Also Putin might have a point because it was Obama who was against him hosting the Olympics because of his stance of homosexuality and this is another way to get to Putin.

FIFA has been corrupt for s long and he gets his votes I bet as I have not looked from Africa where the world cup was a massive flop and Asia which was another flop and now Qatar is in on it.
