Can't say as I blame the cops...
To: markomalley
They are more afraid of going to jail for doing their jobs properly than they are of getting shot on duty, union president Lieutenant Gene Ryan said in a statement. Except even counting the Freddie Gray brouhaha, isn't the likelihood STILL the other way around?
I "don't blame" them for "taking it into account." I "do blame" them for playing chicken.

I say to the police, give the vermin space to destroy property and let the city burn.

Gray was wrongly arrested and died of injuries sustained during his arrest. Was Gray wrongly arrested?

In any other case they would have said "allegedly."
Also, that is a ridiculously weak part of the state's case. The so-called DA used a definition of probable cause that is contrary to American law.

Thought he ran after some drug related event.

The cops should not even be required to answer calls from those neighborhoods. The Mayor and the SAG have declared open season on cops. Let the Thugs take over and finish Baltimore off.

Blacks riot destroying black businesses after a black guy dies in police custody because of three
black officers led by a black police chief who is led by a black female mayor, with a black female
state attorney in a city ruled by democrats for over 50 years.
So, the first black female U.S. Attorney appointed by the first black president blames racism and
conservatives for Baltimore's problems.

Let me say again..... my lily white neighborhood is rarely graced by a law enforcement patrol, yet nobody is killing each other. I suspect Baltimore’s problem is much greater than a policing problem.

I "do blame" them for playing chicken. This is what you get when you blatantly prosecute cops on a bogus false arrest charge.
Not too hard to understand.
I don't blame them at all.
To: markomalley
They can’t blame the crimes on the people committing those crimes? What am I missing?

They get punished no matter what they do. If you’re going to get punished, you may as well do as little as possible and ensure that you aren’t going to get arrested.

He wasn’t wrongly arrested, because he had an illegal knife in his pocket and he may have had a warrant for his arrest. You can’t have a knife that pops out with one hand in Maryland.
However, he may have been mistreated while under arrest.

Just funny the way it seems when the shoe goes on the other foot. I’d think they would WANT the clown prosecution because it is most likely to throw itself. A more tightly thought out case could be more dangerous.
