It was just some far-off place.” Most Americans have have some basic geographically literacy, but there certainly are those who are not. But regardless - who should adapt to whose nation and customs??? I do not travel to India expecting them to know, or care, where Richmond VA is.

The have their internal squabbles like any other insular group, but so far as I know they generally obey the laws, pay their taxes, mind their own business and don’t try to take over.
