Didn’t know Scholastic was still around. The only “George” books I recall them selling were the “Curious George” books. About that mischievous chimp. Seems they are now replacing those with “Transexual George.” Yep, for 8-year-old readers.

America has become a truly sick, sick place.

Scholastic is quite a racket. With all these young adult series like hunger games, harry potter, twilight, Scholastic gets these books on school reading lists, sometimes before they are published. If they hit, the franchise then has a huge built in audience ready and waiting to consume the movies.

Scholastic book day was my all time favorite. Our teacher would give us some time after lunch to dive into our books that we'd ordered the month before.

Horse books, Beverly Cleary's "Ramona" books - loved it.

It is a crime that this crap is being thrust into children's lives.

I wonder if they ever bothered doing Ebola George, because frankly it’s offensive and sick to think that they ever published such books. I will admit, I am a fan of the old Curious George Books, but the new books nowadays are publishing plenty of filth. I am disgusted about kids having to have the idea of getting your genitals mutilated in their own faces.
