I feel like I need to address the elephant-in-the-room on this blog, since you guys have been with me through thick and thin. When I first got engaged, you were the first ones I wanted to tell.
I guess you have seen by now that the wedding that was supposed to happen last weekend was called off. Im sure youve seen this has been all over the media, but this is a painful time for family and friends and I would just really appreciate your prayers.
I know Gods plan is greater than anything else, and Tripp and I are in Alaska beginning to rebuild our lives under much different circumstances than we anticipated.
Thank you for all of your love and support.
-—sigh-—
Bristol,
You’d be better off keeping your private life private.
I was actually worried about the marriage, her fiance has an awful lot on his plate for such a young guy who is still just a normal, wild, young guy ex-marine, except with all the attention that comes with his Medal of Honor, and a media that already seems hostile to him.
With all that, and his having conservative politics, and marrying into the media’s most hated conservative, Christian family, I figured that every time he had a beer or said something to annoy the left, or slapped a guy in a bar, that the media would be all over them.
“Kinda sad..”
I guess any broken engagement is sad but it is much better not to marry when you aren’t sure then to deal with a divorce/child issues later. I wish the two of them good luck and a good life..
How does someone who has a public blog, has been a national spokeswoman for life and abstinence, and who has a NYTs best seller, and has had a TV series, and was on two Dances with the Stars, conceal that she is marrying a Medal of Honor recipient who is also in the public eye?
It is sad..but believe Bristol will find a great step dad to Tripp, and who knows, Dakota Meyers might be it, but they might do it with just the family, and not announce it publicly.
Re: Your tagline. Packers yes.. Rockies. Fine... Boston Bruins No.. (Tampa Bay Lightning.). The Rockies new farm team will be in Hartford next year. The Rockies are good)
Yep. I had actually guessed there was a shotgun reason for the marriage. If the guess was right, a change in circumstances could well explain the change in plans.
Wow, now that is some pretty smooth internet trolling.
Are you trying to spread that to other sites?
It amazes me that Bristol Palin thinks her life is important to the world.
It isn’t.
.
Who would want to marry a person who is too eager to broadcast their every moment to the world?
A “you were the first ones I wanted to tell” mentality will hinder any lasting relationship.
The Duggars are closing fast, however....
I wish you well.
Now please just go away and grow up, would you?
I think the dude dodged a bullet...
Who wants to marry into a media circus.
No—simply speculating given the hasty, just-met-a-couple-months-ago, wedding plans to the last minute calling off of the ceremony.
Your attempt at a dig is silly.
Do you realize how public and outgoing a figure that Dakota Meyer is, and all of his public appearances and his book?
How does someone who has a public blog, has been a national spokeswoman for life and abstinence, and who has a NYTs best seller, and has had a TV series, and was on two Dances with the Stars, conceal that she is marrying a Medal of Honor recipient who is also in the public eye?
No, that was a troll post, from someone trying to create an anti-conservative internet rumor.
It amazes me that Bristol Palin thinks her life is important to the world.
It isnt.
That is a weird thing to say, do you know anything about conservatism in America and who it’s biggest leader has been for the last 7 years?
