I am 74 years old and I have lived about 60 of those in Texas. Was born and raised here.
From a very young child I remember droughts followed by floods and floods followed by drought. It’s Texas!
And those floods were every bit as big as these today. The difference being there were about a quarter as many people.
So less people lost everything they had.
And most people lived a distance away from the rivers. We’ve been having climate change since the world was created. And man didn’t cause it and man can’t fix it. JMHO

Thank you for the wise post.

My prayers for those in Texas who are suffering from flooding and/or drought.

IMO, this is not an issue for the federal government. It’s an issue for neighbors, families, friends to help each other. Everyone has disasters in their lives. Why should the government pick and choose which ones get taxpayer money for relief?
