Not likely. Current thought is that they existed close to a billion years on our planet, while we have been around a tiny fraction of time in comparison. We evolved very quickly in mere thousands of years, which is a blip on Earth's time scale. According to current scientific thought.

so not only would life on another planet have to exist but it would have to be intelligent enough to evolve to the point where it could create space travel. What are the odds?
