I don’t agree that a private university has a duty to re-integrate a PTSD into society.
By today’s college language, the counselor they sent him to was a ‘microagression’ that violated his ‘safe space’. It would be hypocritical of me to attack the minorities and feminists that complain of such and defend a grown man who is so fragile.
His situation would better be discussed in the context of VA staffing and funding.
I cannot disagree with you completely on this, but...they the college SHOULD do their PART to help this man, not strike a match near an open source of flammable material.
You are correct...it isn’t their RESPONSIBILITY.
But is IS the responsibility of the counseling staff to treat him appropriately, in my opinion.
I was being facetious when I said we should accuse them of “microagression”.
But I don’t see it as hypocritical in the least to ask that a non-muslim counselor be assigned to a man with PTSD, a well documented condition stemming from some of the most violent warfare in a muslim country, while at the same time ridiculing the efforts of minorities, feminists (specifically those minorities and feminists who DEMAND special treatment due to some kind of assumed societal traumatization or their perceived societal victimization) homosexuals and transgenders who are cravenly trying to leverage the mental health system to achieve their goals of societal acceptance.
If that subset of minorities and feminists, as well as homosexuals and transgenders accept they have a mental disorder (as this vet accepts his PTSD is a disorder) then I would revise my assessment.
