Here, too. We'd moved everything up to higher ground and packed the vehicles to bug out. Continued to can pickles (priorities) and had my eye on a tree. Just as the last of the pickles were done, the water hit the tree and we were outta there to higher ground. When we came back the next day, several homes were flooded but we were fine though someone's kitchen cabinets were on our deck.
I've driven down the road to the low water crossing the past two days to make sure it's still accessible. The flood in '07 cut me off from getting home and hubby from getting out. That one took out the road to town and the road in the opposite direction.
We were supposed to go to Canyon Lake, this weekend. We looked at the forecast and at all of the ripe plums on our plum tree....and decided to stay home and can plum jam. We ended up with 60 pints of jam and missed out on the weather.
Again, prayers up for all in harm’s way.
Are you near Austin?.....my family is close by.
