Fighter Jets Scramble to Escort Air France Plane to JFK Airport Following Threat

An Air France plane was being escorted to JFK airport in New York City this morning after an anonymous threat was made against the flight, a senior U.S. official told ABC News.
The Maryland State Police Fusion Center received an anonymous call of a “chemical weapons threat” aboard Air France Flight 22, which is en route from Paris and is expected to land at the New York City airport later this morning.
The threat is not considered to be credible at the moment, but when officials tried to reach Air France representatives they were unsuccessful because it is also a state holiday in France.

You've convinced me, but it took a few posts. At the start I thought the plane should be allowed to land. I was on the fence through the seventies, eighties and nineties. Started wavering in the one-oughts and by the time the one-thirties came around I was completely convinced.
