I’m too demoralized by the trade vote to be energized right now. Sorry. Bob

I donated regularly to Ted’s campaign as I’m sure many Freepers did...

But he really let me down with his trade deal vote.

I’m looking elsewhere.

Carson, although a very smart and nice man does not have a chance.

It appears the GOP has plenty of white voters who vote based on guilt.

Just like the voters who placed their vote for Obama.

Oh , so the few nay-sayers are now willing to to have the GOP-E pick the candidate, are you ?

You're a bunch of cut your collective noses off to spite your faces!

Carson is far worse than Obamanation and how he won this silly straw poll is beyond me!

So now you're all going to wind up with someone whom you won't like even more than what has wound you up about Ted by staying homes or voting for someone worse. FOOLS !

You know Im for Cruz..still working on getting a caravan together for the Tampa Cruz event. At this time Ive got about 5 from Broward county...thats just from calling my friends. perhaps the Broward Tea party can get involved too.

But this straw poll is nothing...straw polls hold the headlines for a minute but dont count for anything.

Florida will be a test for sure. If Bush drops out by the time of the primaries then more than likely Rubio will take Florida. Florida is a winner take all state as you know. Its early and anything can happen.
keep up the good work.

Remember before the last election when Ted Cruz was the virtual leader of the HOR, keeping conservatives on board voting against anything that was against Constitutional Conservative principles? Remember he promised to provide the same kind of leadership when the Senate had more conservatives?

Ted, we used to know you. You just handed Obama the slimmest of majorities on a secret trade bill that will undermine US workers. And are you with abolishing the data collection provisions of the Patriot Act. And what's that we hear about you supporting MORE H1B Visas when every street in the US where real Americans live has tech workers who lost their jobs to cheaper labor?

Jeff Sessions is who should be leading us.

Not only does Ben Carson have gifted hands that allowed him to become a top brain surgeon, he also has a gifted political team that allowed him to win a critical straw poll of Conservative activists.

The reason I supported Ted Cruz and contributed to his campaign was because I thought he was the smartest, most charismatic Conservative in the race who also had the good sense to concentrate on winning the Conservative base.

But I was wrong. With Ted’s thirty million dollars worth of contributions, his magna cum laude degree from Harvard Law School, and his almost constant media presence, he couldn’t even beat out a virtual unknown like Ben Carson, not to mention Scott Walker, for the hearts and minds of the country’s leading Conservative activists.

Would anyone bet on a horse after he fell coming out of the starting gate? Can Ted Cruz recover?

By staying in the race and using all their money to try to win as much media exposure as possible, Ted Cruz and Scott Walker will continue to play the role of hares to Ben Carson’s turtle. And who is likely to win in the end? Aesop seemed to understand these circumstances better than I do, so I’ll defer to his judgment.

It’s a straw poll, so it’;s of limited value. Remember, Michele Bachmann won the straw poll in Iowa. How’s President Bachmann working out?

But yes, it should be of concern to some extent. It’s a long way to the first primaries, but Ted’s campaign needs to understand that, in the words of Yogi Berra, “it sure gets late early out here.”

Interesting article. Looks like they’re placing the blame on the team rather than the candidate. And it definitely couldn’t be the candidates support of the fast track trade deal.

Naaah. It’s because of the team and how they organize facebook pages.

Any major Republican candidate should say Ben Carson makes a good HHS secretary and person to take apart Obamacare with a way that honors doctors and patients.

Then he can drop out of the Presidential run with a job offer more suitable to his expertise.

By July of 2016 (which, by the way, is FOURTEEN MONTHS AWAY) everybody in America is going to be sick to death of these candidates.

This activity at this date is absurd.

So .. what I hear is since Carson has won ONE poll .. it’s over for Cruz.

I am stunned at such ignorance.
