Leaked Report Profiles Military, Police Members of Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs
The Intercept ^ | 5/22/2015 | Jana Winter and Jordan Smith

Nuclear power plant technicians, senior military officers, FBI contractors and an employee of “a highly-secretive Department of Defense agency” with a Top Secret clearance. Those are just a few of the more than 100 people with sensitive military and government connections that law enforcement is tracking because they are linked to “outlaw motorcycle gangs.”

A year before the deadly Texas shootout that killed nine people on May 17, a lengthy report by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives detailed the involvement of U.S. military personnel and government employees in outlaw motorcycle gangs, or OMGs. A copy of the report was obtained by The Intercept.

The report lays out, in almost obsessive detail, the extent to which OMG members are represented in nearly every part of the military, and in federal and local government, from police and fire departments to state utility agencies. Specific examples from the report include dozens of Defense Department contractors with Secret or Top Secret clearances; multiple FBI contractors; radiological technicians with security clearances; U.S. Department of Homeland Security employees; Army, Navy and Air Force active-duty personnel, including from the special operations force community; and police officers.

Great big Truth Seeking BUMP! !

“Law enforcement is not the reason for the ongoing feud between Banditos and Cossacks. The reason is the biker culture . . . “ and their criminal enterprises . . .

“Law enforcement” is also not the reason that law enforcement has to up the ante to combat criminal gangs that have upped the ante to the extent of treason — protecting Mexican cartels on our sacred homeland.

Those who support the myth of criminal-induced chaos on our sacred soil, as being a type of “freedom”, are giving succor to the enemy of our great Country and it’s true freedom-loving citizens, who will bleed for true freedom, but draw the line at criminal enterprises.

Servus!

I didn’t say ‘we’, I said I. I do hope, though, that you appreciate my goodwill.

I don’t think anyone here is against law

We’re against itchy finger cops and cya mode

Suspicious of it

We may yet be proved wrong

Put me on record opposing anarchy

I usually wear jeans, boots, and either a leather vest or jacket over a t-shirt. Depending on the distance and traffic conditions I may wear a helmet.

Outlaw motorcycle clubs, inner city drug dealer gangs, Mafia “families” all seem to have certain written and unwritten rules.

And for the most part, they can and will use violence to uphold their dominance and status over others, all of the while endangering the law abiding civilians around them.

Law enforcement does the best they can with the resources available. Mayor Giuliani used “Donny Brasco” (Joe Pistone) who infiltrated the NYC mafia. They used RICO provisions, to take down many top level mafia figures, who had been in charge of and commited murder and mayhem.

If Texas law enforcement uses infiltrators, more power to them.

Five mafia families of NYC, Crips & Bloods, Hell’s Angels, Mongols, Banditos, Cossacks.

Little or no difference. If you have empathy or sympathy for those who knowingly hang out with such people and groups, then you are electing to be closer to the problem, than to the solution, IMO.

That they provide protection in case of a crash?

I’m just using this thread ... to post while wearing assless chaps.

Here's hoping you don't land on your butt should you ever crash...........

I'd have to respectfully disagree with you wardaddy.

We're still law abiding Americans and cops are innocent until proven guilty, or should be.

“We disagree.”

Then in my opinion, you are a piss poor example of what 12 step “recovery” is all about.

Posting the mentally disabled couple’s picture was clearly meant as an insult made by you, e.g. you trying to be funny, at the expense of others.

When called for it, you refused, and still refuse to own it and apologize for it.

“Outlaw motorcycle clubs”

From what I see now there is no need to preface ‘motorcycle club’ with ‘outlaw’.

There are MC’s and there are ‘riding clubs’.

“When called for it, you refused, and still refuse to own it and apologize for it.”

I didn’t ask for an apology. I have no need for that. I just asked him to have it taken down out of respect for FR as some might see it as making fun of the disabled.

Perhaps their minor inconvenience, while police and judicial officials conduct their investigations, might inform them of the risks of associating with known criminals, who take murder and mayhem on their rides, who sell drugs in our communities. They ought to seriously consider if the vicarious thrill of riding with the outlaws, of providing cover and respectability to the outlaws, is worth the price.

Not picking on you precisely, but as a point of order, this whole 'bikers just want to emulate outlaw bikers' crap is misguided.

Gypsy leather comes with the territory - It is functionally the same as why cowboys wear sh*tkickers, chaps, a bandana, and a wide brimmed hat. It's first function is its suitability to the task, with style coming as a secondary function within the necessity of the first... Which is why the 'assless chaps' comments hereon were so hilarious in their ignorance.

'Wearing patch' and all the insignias and etc probably hail from The Bikers' origin - Namely disaffected military home from the war - That's why they conform to militaristic structures and such too - And thus precedes Outlaw gangs entirely.

Loud, stretched out bikes also hail from the beginning, and are quite comparable to hot rod cars and lifted trucks.

To wit: The Biker culture just IS. It is 'outlaw' and contrary by design, without and before what 'Outlaw gangs' may have done... Standing outside of that community makes you ignorant thereof. To accuse a biker of being so because of a 'vicarious thrill of riding with outlaws' is tantamount to accusing a cowboy of being a 'rhinestone cowboy' - All hat and no cattle, as it were. I think you have no idea of the offense you commit against them.

To wit: Your statement may be true to the effect that if good bikers dressed like the good humor man and rode ice cream trucks, they wouldn't have this problem. But they wouldn't be bikers then, would they?

And it is no 'minor convenience' for an American citizen to be rounded up and thrown in prison for better than a week now, with inflated bail, held on RICO type charges, which is the crux of this thread. To pass that off as minor is the most offensive thing of all.

“If you have empathy or sympathy for those who knowingly hang out with such people and groups, then you are electing to be closer to the problem, than to the solution, IMO.”

You get it.

Lawlessness —> anarchy.

The cops have to deal with it because their duty is to the community.

The worse the criminal behavior . . . the more LE needed, SADLY! Lawlessness needs to be rooted out root and branch, from the culture itself. Modifying culture is not the job of the government nor LE, nor should it be. It is the job of the citizenry to use their moral example, their voice, to decry and root out criminality. And to support LE to the extent necessary to root out criminality and protect the honest citizenry to the extent they logically can be expected to do so — which, one has to admit, is not all that much. If civilization goes down, LE can’t hold the breech and indeed is subject to the same temptations of lawlessness as the bulk of the citizenry they are honor-bound to protect.

Anyone who condones, winks at, excuses lawlessness is merely causing the need for increased law enforcement, to restore order to society. And the same acceptance of criminal behavior affects the pool of candidates from which come the cops, the DAs, the judges, etc. Condone criminality, then you get a criminal system.

In a lawless society, cops who come from a lawless society are subject to bribes from the lawless. We hold LE to a higher standard than we do outlaw gangs and rightfully so, but when/if outlaw gangs are tolerated by society, do not be surprised to find cops, DAs, judges on the take. One has to only look at the example of the Mafia. Decades of corruption at all levels, PAID FOR by the LAWLESS! The judicial system could only become corrupted, because there were lawless actors willing to pressure and extort and blackmail and bribe.

Civilization is a fragile construct. It is a treasure that only civilized people can enjoy. A lawless society is a society of tyranny, tyranny from the lawless and then eventually by civil authority who try to hold back the chaos, but ultimately cannot, unless resorting to another tyranny and that cannot, being uncivilized, uphold civilization.
