This is a twofer. It will hurt the poor by reducing the number of minimum wage jobs, and now it will reduce the income of poor people by making them ineligible for welfare benefits.
Liberals must really hate poor people.
They hate them when they’re poor, and they hate them when there is an inkling of their stopping being poor.
There’s some consolation. Because of Obamacare, the woman mentioned here will probably only work 30 hours per week. That will cost her some benefits, but it will still keep her under the level where her benefits completely disappear.

Not to mention they will pay more in taxes and it could reduce their Obamacare subsidy.
