Before anyone else tells me that the North(Federal Government) did not tax exports, you are right, the were called “Tarriffs” and the commerce clause was amended in 1830 to allow this.

You are entirely wrong on this, sir. See post above.

Also, no amendments were ratified between the 12th in 1804 and the 13th in 1865.

DEFINITION of 'Tariff' A tax imposed on imported goods and services. Tariffs are used to restrict trade, as they increase the price of imported goods and services, making them more expensive to consumers.

One last time, It wasn’t a Constitutional amendment, it was a change in the commerce clause. I give up trying to inform people who have a locked in mindset.
