Despite the characterization by police that the afternoon gathering at a Twin Peaks restaurant in Waco, Texas that led to Sundays bloody shooting incident was a gathering of criminal biker gangs with violent intent, the meeting appears to have been a legitimate, organized gathering of motorcycle riders meeting to discuss political issues.
The group that met was the Texas Confederation of Clubs and Independents (CoC&I) and a look at that groups website and history gives a very different impression of the groups purpose and goals than what has been said repeatedly by Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton.

When they start acting like another kind of outlaw is when abominations begin arising. I’m not talking about formal investigation, arraignment, etc.
“You drink poison beers?”
No. But 29% of motorcycle fatalities are caused by drunken bikers and ya’ll still do the drinking and biking thing.
I have not met any of those.
Apparently the toad thinks that I drink booze.
“Apparently the toad thinks that I drink booze.”
One might surmise that based on your presenting yourself as an expert on some booze related threads on FR.
You: I disagree with all of the crap that you have dislodged from your bodily orifices.
You: Its been over 40 years since I sold my bikes, so I could be out of step.
Here is the account from a Cossack club president. He says the Cossacks were set up by the Bandidos. Details the killing of the first two Cossacks by the Bandidos. It’s on ConservativeTreeHouse so it has to be solid.
Very interesting. Cossacks president goes on the record:
At that point in time, the sergeant in arms shot Richie point-blank, the Cossack said.
Police said Jordan died of a gunshot wound to the head.
Then all the Bandidos standing in the parking lot started pulling guns and shooting at us, he said. There were maybe 60 or 70 of us in the parking lot. We took off running. We scattered. Three of our guys went down instantly. They caught a couple more that tripped and fell, and Bandidos were shooting at them.
He said that the second man to die was Daniel Raymond Boyett, 44, known as Diesel, a road captain in the Cossacks from Waco. Police said that Boyett died from gunshot wounds to the head.
The third man down was Dog, whose real name is Charles Wayne Russell, 46, of Winona. Russells cause of death was listed as a gunshot wound to the chest.
The Cossack said that he believes the Bandidos had no intention of making peace that day. It was a setup from start to finish, he said.

] The Cossacks account is also consistent with a Twin Peaks security video
Then you might find this VERY interesting!
Cossack officer details how they were ambushed with the Bandidos killing most or all of the eight Cossacks.
“Look, folks. Not all 1%-ers are really bad. Texas, don’t go too hard on the Bandidos for keeping worse elements out. Don’t make them all bury their rags.”
Cossack president says Bandidos ambushed them. Indicates that maybe all the eight dead Cossacks were killed by Bandidos. He says he saw six go down at the hands of the Bandidos.

Citing police sources in Waco, Cook says he understands the shootout started because a smaller gang called the Cossacks backed by the Angels challenged the Bandidos for control of Texas...My perception is that the Cossacks have been flirting, if you will, with Hells Angles, Cook said. If Im a Bandido, my immediate reaction is: These guys are going to try to make a move and bring an international gang into our state, which is going to cause a war.'
The Washington Post article was dated May 18, 2015, BTW.
“TexasGator, if you’re drooling over them, don’t troll threads to argue for their puppet club within five minutes of a comment. Move to SF.”
I am not drooling and I have no idea what you are talking about.
Thanks! Not the same article, but sounds like the same gal.
What do you expect them to say? They want to keep living. Bad mouthing those cops is a good way to meet with an “accident”, or get shot while “resisting arrest”. In their place, I would have said the same thing.
“Bad mouthing those cops is a good way to meet with an accident, “
I am sure that the Cossacks badmouthing the Bandidos would on net be worse than badmouthing the cops.
Excerpted:
If youre in one of those civilian clubs, and youre going to a meeting thats being held by the Bandidos, which everyone knows is an international crime syndicate, youre in the wrong place at the wrong time, and you cant afterwards say Oh, I wish I wouldnt have been here. You knew who you were going to meet with. You shouldve been wise enough to say This is not where I need to be.
The reality of it is, biker gangs arent all that different than traditional street gangs. Look at Crips and Bloods. Whether youre wearing red or blue can get you killed. With these different biker gangs, depending on what vest you have on, can get you killed.
