We sometime forget that the police and DA have obligations other than to cater to Internet speculation. All individuals charged will have an opportunity to challenge any video or other evidence presented. Satisfying conspiracy theories is not their objective nor, in most cases, even possible.

Why does it take so long to release the video anyways?

Good editing takes time. When they are done it will be said to keep the identities of possible undercover assets and informants secret.

Look at the state of CGI in the movies, and Donald Duck could be flirting with Daisy in the parking lot when the SHTF by the time they are done if they want to put that in too.

The videos should have been released immediately and the longer they delay, the more the content will be suspected of being tampered with.
