Flickr's new auto-tagging feature is generating some pretty offensive results. The photo sharing site, which is owned by Yahoo (YHOO, Tech30), launched image-recognition software two weeks ago that automatically creates tags for photos. The purpose was to make images more searchable in the system.
Some concentration camp photos received inappropriate tags, including "sport" and "jungle gym." Flickr had also been tagging some images of people as "ape" and "animal," including a photo of a black man named William taken by photographer Corey Deshon, according to the Guardian.

thas a fack jack!!
I have to go check what flickr has done to my photos,,,
They’re only offensive if you are weak enough to be offended by software.
I really thought they were tags regarding automobiles, and thought
“Lowrider”, “hooptie”, “whip”, “ghettomobile”, etc.
I cant wait to see how this one turns out.
Imagine all sharpton suing YAHOO....flickr’s parent company
Send that computer to sensitivity training.

Im not certain exactly how googkes image search works either
