Who would have guessed that prosecuting six police officers on charges that are at least partially invented and clearly overstated would raise crime rates? Who would have guessed that the mayor and police chief encouraging rioting and looting would also encourage crime? This is like each week’s bad news on job creation - totally unexpected.

If criminals can assault the police and get away with such illegality then all sorts of other illegal acts become practical.
