1,000 weapons recovered at Waco biker brawl? Not quite, cops now say

Police in Waco, Texas, have sharply revised downward the number of weapons seized after a deadly brawl in a shopping center parking lot that left nine people dead, 18 wounded and 177 facing criminal charges of engaging in an organized criminal activity..

Police said earlier this week they expected to recover 1,000 weapons but now put the number at about 320.

Snip-- The weapons recovered include 118 handguns, 157 knives and 43 others, which includes brass knuckles and chains. Some weapons had been quickly stashed -- under seat cushions and even in a toilet. Police also said an AK-47 assault rifle was recovered.

Swanton blamed the complexity of the crime scene for some of the confusion about the number of weapons.

On Sunday, members of five motorcycle gangs met at the Twin Peaks restaurant in a shopping center in Waco for what participants have said was a previously scheduled meeting to discuss common issues, such as pending motorcycle safety legislation.

“If I were a restaurant owner armed with these facts, I wouldn’t even need the police telling me to not host these meetings.”

If you were a restaurant owner, I’m 100% sure that your first concern would be how much these people spend in the store. How many bars and restaurants across America hold “Biker Nights” every single week?

Better not go there...

According to some of the Christians posting on threads related to this issue, the Gospel of Christ must only be witnessed to non-sinners located in safe neighborhoods.

Only a Christian with no brain would do otherwise (according to one Christian who posts to these threads)...

That worked out well for this restaurant owner, didn't it? He has now had his franchise taken away. No, my first concern as a restaurant owner (even over money) is the safety of my workers and my guests.

You have the right not to participate.

You even have the right to be offensive in your misunderstanding of what biker clubs are all about.

But you don’t have the right to label good citizens as being all criminals without being challenged by me.

Like any group of free spirited or dullard people, you will have your bad apples..

To tar and feather all of these people is not only beyond ignorance (stupid), but it’s highly insulting.

“Secondly.....I am very offended by your use of the term ...”gangs”...”

I have the right to offend you even though I didn’t intend to offend you with my reference to ‘gangs’.

“Clubs do group meetings all the time, generally for the purposes of political activism regarding proposed legislation.”

But this meeting was led by the Bandidos for the purpose of informing all biker gangs and clubs the rules on who wears what and who rides where.

“These “gangs” as you refer to them are just as entitled to their rights as you are.”

They don’t have the right to riot in public areas.

I am saying that I personally have never had any issues with the Banditos...

You can apply any absurdity to that if you like...I personally don’t really give a hoot...

Wait a minute, now, that's CRAZY talk.

Don't you know that Rights are only for people with acceptable lifestyles?

According to whom, and as reported by whom?

I will..

So using your logic, if I had no issues with a member of a Blood or Cript drug gang, that means they are all a bunch of good guys.

If I had no issues with a member of a New York Mafia crime family member, that means they are all a bunch of good guys.

I believe I said the you have the right to be ignorant and stupid....lol

But I also said that it will draw a challenge from me.

And I have the same rights as you.

So I guess we have that all settled....lol

“If you were a restaurant owner, I’m 100% sure that your first concern would be how much these people spend in the store.”

If you cater to the wrong crowd just for the dollars, you may soon be out of business. Oh. That’s right. That TP’s restaurant IS out of business now ...

“How many bars and restaurants across America hold “Biker Nights” every single week?”

How many bars and restaurants host gang meetings where there is always fighting?

Turns out that it wasn’t a “Gang meeting”, it was an Association meeting to discuss a proposed new Motorcycle law.

Thank you.

The fact this meeting was a long time coming...as was the meeting of “minds” between the war groups.......gave strong enough concerns to have police presence there. I don't know how they could be called "non-associated bikers".....the meeting was apparently FOR bikers gangs and clubs associated with the reasons given for them to be there.

If you are right, the police might be in trouble, not with the law, but with those abused.

“According to whom, and as reported by whom?”

The Chairman of the Texas Coalition of Clubs and Independents is a Bandido. The coalition serves to ‘coordinate’ turf disputes such as who wears what and who rides where.

“Did they count all the steak and butter knives from the restaurant ?”

It was sarcasm of the police number of weapons

Him: Turns out that it wasn’t a “Gang meeting”, it was an Association meeting to discuss a proposed new Motorcycle law.

You: Thank you.

Fact: The ‘meeting’ was hosted by the Texas Coalition of Clubs and Independents which is run by the Bandidos. They were there not to discuss new motorcycle laws but to settle turf issues.
