To: Regulator

There is no Third Reich anymore. Yes, Germany committed many horrible during WWII but they paid a heavy price for it. Their country was in ruins, their cities pulverized to rubble, many Germans were punished for war crimes, and the country was divided and occupied for decades following the end of WWII.

The Greeks have ONLY themselves to blame for the bankrupt condition they now find themselves in. Just as the Germans were wrong using Jews as scapegoats following the end of WWI, it is wrong for the Greeks to use the Germans as scapegoats for their current economic irresponsibility and profligate spending.

My wife and I visited Greece for the first time several years ago.

She's from the former East Block: her initial reaction looking at the dilapidated state of things was, "We had almost 50 years of Communism, what's the Greeks' excuse?"
