In some ways they do Hoss..They do not have a god that saves to the outermost either ...like Muslims they need to work their way to heaven... and ask them about "baptism by blood" ..heaven by being martyrs for the "faith"
True... I think though, sadly, it's in most ways. Muslims worship a false god. Catholics are the ones who may actually try to worship the one true living God, just "in ignorance of his true nature" -- funny how that description of Muslims is actually Catholic projection... :(
But, CCC 841 is written the way it's written and I can't help but see it for what it is... a blasphemous statement.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church (or CCC) is a “catechism promulgated for the Catholic Church by Pope John Paul II in 1992.”
