Bullets ricocheted around the parking lot of Twin Peaks, the Waco restaurant where a motorcycle gang shootout left nine dead, just minutes after Theron Rhoten pulled in on his vintage Harley chopper for a regional motorcycle club meeting, according to Rhotens wife. Katie Rhoten told The Associated Press that her husband ran for cover and was later arrested, along with antique motorcycle enthusiast friends and other nonviolent, noncriminal people. Authorities swept up around 170 bikers who had descended on the restaurant for what one club member described as a gathering to discuss laws protecting motorcycle riders.... McLennan County Sheriff Parnell McNamara and Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton declined to comment Tuesday on allegations that innocent bikers were arrested.

The question is, if thats true, will they once again get away with it.
You know that they will. And so do they.

“One of the things I have loved in the past about this site is the ability of people here to see through the press presentation of this person as saintly and that person as ‘evil’ and cut to the chase—to peel aside the media window dressing and sensationalism designed to sell ad space, papers, and soap, and get to the facts. Sadly, the noise to signal ratio has gone off the charts lately.
What other groups of Americans will FReepers advocate be summarily executed by the police? Or left in the ditch to die for just driving down the road?”
You certainly were on a roll with excellent posts yesterday. I find that I agree with ALL that you wrote. I also find I am very disgusted with what many so called conservatives here have written, many who have been FReepers for quite some time, to the point that I may go back through the threads and write those screen names down so that I do not forget who finds it just fine to execute individuals because of the way they are dressed, or because of guilt by proximity. Very un-American, well, perhaps not anymore. Perhaps we are seeing the ultimate results of public education and a life time of continued programing thanks to the media.
“That a few have chosen a criminal life, well, that is something easy to point at. For the criminal element of the 1%, there is at least a fundamental honesty in them proclaiming their affiliations, so unlike the thieves who dress ‘well’, hold themselves up to be respectable, hide behind lawyers, and smile for the cameras.”
Gee, that sounds like the 99% of republican politicians! I know long time bikers I would trust with kids more than I would trust politicians with them. The Vice Prez is the most glaring example!
When so many FReepers are willing to just throw this particular demographic under the bus, no, wait, not throw under the bus, but have snipers shoot and kill, such gives me little optimism for restoring the Republic. Perhaps it will only be just 1% that can keep their eye on the ball.

Remember when you see one or some of those doing that, the contempt that some here hold them in.

Tends to be how it works.

999 and the other one was planted by the police. Anytime the police kill someone, they will find weapons and drugs on them. That is because they planted them on them. Why shouldn’t they find them?

“The AMA (American Motorcycle Association) stated that 99% of the people at their events were god fearing and family oriented. The other 1%er were hard riding, hard partying, non mainstream type people. Thus the term 1%er was born. Some of the early bikers embraced the term and decided to call themselves 1%ers. It did not mean that they were law breakers or low life individuals.”
Are you trying to rewrite history?
99% of all of their members are law-abiding citizens and only 1% are outlaw.

“Saying they are associating with a ‘criminal element’ because people show up from a different club who don’t have exactly a spotless record would be like saying you associated with terrorists because you were in the crowd when they bombed the Boston Marathon.”
No. It would be more like showing up at the mosque and praying with the terrorists.

Outlaws because they don’t follow AMA rules NOT lawbreakers ... or can’t you read. From your posts you are in my opinion EXACTLY what Oldsmaj called you.

Uh, AMA said 99% were law-abiding. Can’t you read?

Oh and for the record ... yes I have been in motorcycle clubs for most of my 64 years life. I know and have lived the lifestyle for many many years. I have literally dozens of biker friends which some are (shudder) 1%’ers ... including my congressman. I also hold a CCW and have no criminal record nor have I ever been in serious trouble with the law ... as is the case with most of my biker friends. Pukes like you
are the real problem ... you run scared then make up stories about us ... so bug off ahole. Go hide from the big bad biker under your bed. Frikking little creep

Really? You think that at freerepublic that we are to play along with criminal culture and gangs?
You think that we Christians, veterans, and conservatives here are supposed to respect the Crips, Bloods and Hells Angels and Bandido club rules and culture and watch how we post about them when the gangs get into the news?
Are you in a 1% club, have you ever spent much time with them, hung out at their house, accompanied them outside the house, had one as a roommate?
Are you afraid of them? So afraid that on the internet you may displease one, even at freerepublic?
Are you sure that you are part of the conservative culture?

I think you're throwing emotional labels like a child at things you do not understand, in an effort to be self-righteous - and to cover up what has been called out as some pretty banal intellectual laziness on your part.
You think that we Christians, veterans, and conservatives here are supposed to respect the Crips, Bloods and Hells Angels and Bandido club rules and culture and watch how we post about them when the gangs get into the news?
Speaking for myself, I don't care what you or anyone else posts about any subculture, disrespectful or not. You'll end up eventually having to own them at some point when you speak out of turn with someone who reacts with action instead of theory. Self-correcting karma, that.
I have a huge problem with anyone advocating wholesale and extrajudicial State execution of people "they don't like" for any reason at all. I don't have a whole lot of respect for radical liberation theology gay rights activists. I'd never be glad to see them massacred in a public parking lot by armed agents of the State and any interested witness arrested and silenced by capital charges.
Are you in a 1% club, have you ever spent much time with them, hung out at their house, accompanied them outside the house, had one as a roommate?
None of your business.
Are you afraid of them? So afraid that on the internet you may displease one, even at freerepublic?
I don't see anything to be afraid of, beyond what I would have called my fellow Americans descending to the same moral level of good Germans spitting at the public execution of Jews.
Are you sure that you are part of the conservative culture?
I'm part of a free culture. I despise tyrants, and I loathe the scum of the earth that adulates their methods and approves of it to assuage their own whiny, bitchy and self-adulating sense of partisan self-righteousness.
Anyone who supports the mass execution of citizens by State gunfire with mass arrests on capital charges of scores upon scores of witnesses - is, to me, a domestic enemy of the Constitution and of the freedom of Men.
Put that in your conservative pipe and smoke it.

..... You also learn who will roll over and suck the fingers of the tyrant, once waggled in their direction.
This forum now has more than its share of those kind. In fact, saying that there is a bumper crop of them here would be classified as an understatement.

One thing that I learned when hanging around the Bandidos, was how people reacted to them, they had groupies and many men would defer to them.
If you know anything about 1%ers, then you know that they are criminal organizations, perhaps you only know them from bumping into them, and have never seen behind the curtain, and what they are keeping from you in public, even where I live right now is believed to have come up because the Hells Angels broke in and murdered the guy who owned this place before I did.
In none of my posts have you seen me say anything in support of the police or the shootings, or anything else about the incident, so you are obviously confused, and misposting.
Do you realize how confused you are about who you are posting to? I tried to tell you that you should go find someone who is blindly supporting the cops to make your speeches to, search my posts, you won’t find any of that from me, so why are you pestering me with your nonsense?
You really got off track, just as I told you in post 298.

Very well said ... some of these self righteous asses condone and even celebrate the killing and arrest of bikers whoss only crime may be just being there. Had this been at the CoC in Arizona I would have been there. These could easily been my friends and brothers. 170+ in a mass arrest each one having their bike confiscated. How is that anywhere near American. Then we get these clueless idiots out here making judgements and talking out there rear ends about something they know little or nothing about. Screw these pathetic little jerks

One thing that I learned when hanging around the Bandidos, was how people reacted to them, they had groupies and many men would defer to them.
What on earth do the paired observations of females sharing sexual access to their bodies, and males demonstrating beta behavior towards 1%e'ers, have to do with the discussion at hand? We're talking about the moral depravity of supporting State killing of groups of people and mass arrests on capital charges of virtually all witnesses at the scene.
Women will naturally be aroused by and attracted to dominant players in any field - be it sports, crime, motorcycling, entertainment. Men who fear to attempt their own excellence will be left behind in any arena. Just how life works.
How about this: I don't subserviently defer to outlaw bikers, or cops, or pissed off patriots, or whiny Moms Demanding Less Sociovaginal Sand. Why should I? I treat people with the respect they deserve. And there is a difference between real respect for a human being and his rights, and respect for someone only insofar as their social, class or political views aligns with your own. There is also respect for things that can hurt you. Doesn't mean being afraid. I don't provoke dogs I don't know. I don't tickle my fingers inside tiger cages. I don't rubberband the balls of the bull in the next field. Live a Jackass life, die like a jackass.
The great and eternal truth: Living by principles may mean execution by the temporal power that declares you outlaw. It is called Live Free or Die.
And Death is not the worst of Evils.
Lurid prose, but irrelevant. I know that human beings are fallen animals, and that any organization (whether the Tonton Macoutes or the Vatican) is going to have lesser examples of our race. The people who have issues with "1%'ers" sound, to me, very much like the people who have issues with guns. "It's a phallic object!" "You just fantasize about killing, you gun owners!" "Must be because of a small penis!" (har har, #elbow).
Yeah, it's just like being sad and butthurt and anxiously detesticled when a really hot girl that you Want To Have A Beautiful Relationship With actually prefers to crudely spike herself on the guy who speaks plainly, rides a thundering engine and puts her in a state of excited fear before he takes her into a private clubhouse where he and his brothers don't allow the public....
We all know the picture I am painting. That's what I pick up from your posts. And based on experience (and history as well for those who read it) the private bedroom fetishes and anxious mental self flagellations of the tyrant are usually
all about this kind of rejected emasculation. Hitler had his failed artiste period in Vienna; Mao ended up starving millions while he kept himself supplied with a steady stream of virgins; we have the Islamic State with their naked
dhimmi slave market.
I'll throw a challenge out here to folks. I'd bet that the majority of those who support this bloody mass execution of citizens expressing their First Amendment rights - and then the immediate charging of capital crimes against over eight score witnesses - is a pretty damn 1:1 match for those who secretly would just
love to go shopping at Pretty Yazidi Market in Raqqa if they could.
Because, like they always say - rape is not about sex, it's about power. Fantasies are about power too, including the negative ones. When I see fellow citizens espousing things that clearly demonstrate infection with the bloody abrogation of the Constitution - I am filled with disgust. That is how I understand Samuel Adams.
May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen
In none of my posts have you seen me say anything in support of the police or the shootings, or anything else about the incident, so you are obviously confused, and misposting.
Then let's make certain. What is your Constitutional take on these shootings? I see grave and disturbing escalation on the point of the Leviathan.
Share your take.
Do you realize how confused you are about who you are posting to? I tried to tell you that you should go find someone who is blindly supporting the cops to make your speeches to, search my posts, you wont find any of that from me, so why are you pestering me with your nonsense?
If you are not on a discussion board to discuss, but rather agree, then I won't disturb you.
You really got off track, just as I told you in post 298.
OK buddy.
