Bullets ricocheted around the parking lot of Twin Peaks, the Waco restaurant where a motorcycle gang shootout left nine dead, just minutes after Theron Rhoten pulled in on his vintage Harley chopper for a regional motorcycle club meeting, according to Rhotens wife. Katie Rhoten told The Associated Press that her husband ran for cover and was later arrested, along with antique motorcycle enthusiast friends and other nonviolent, noncriminal people. Authorities swept up around 170 bikers who had descended on the restaurant for what one club member described as a gathering to discuss laws protecting motorcycle riders.... McLennan County Sheriff Parnell McNamara and Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton declined to comment Tuesday on allegations that innocent bikers were arrested.

No, post #165 is just as biker blog claim, that doesn’t say anything anyway, except that there are 99% of bikers, and then the 1%ers.

Those are the sort of issues which arise.
They are proclaiming club affiliation. Some clubs have bad reputations, some are more earned than others. I am not judge and jury. Now maybe some are 'moral' enough to offend allies for no other reason than they are afraid that their character or reputation might be compromised.
I do not have those fears.
I know who I am, and those who know me know, too. My reputation for integrity speaks for itself, among a wide social spectrum.
First WayneS is trying to use that name to justify a sweeping claim of hate against all motorcyclists, and if you notice, he won’t link the article, we have no idea what it says.
Simon has written about wearing helmets, I would like to see the editorial calling for us to kill all that we see on the road.
“Thank you for not moving to Texas.”
No problem, enjoy your Poke Salad/Armadillo Sandwich. But what do you have to say about the comment by the mayor? Cat got your tongue?
” Simon has written about wearing helmets, I would like to see the editorial calling for us to kill all that we see on the road.”
I would like to see it too, as I can’t believe a newspaper legal department would green flag it.
Simple, you made it up, thanks for not moving to Texas.

In this article they talk about all of the weapons and blood splatter found inside the restaurant. Although that blood may have just been from fighting and not gun-shots I suppose.
The cops say they had their SWAT van parked outside beforehand as a visible sign, along with other cars and cops, in order to prevent violence from starting.
I’ll wait until the autopsies and more eye witness accounts come out before I start blaming the cops. We have a list of the deceased - I couldn’t find anything after a quick search on what jobs they had or arrest records. Also odd that no videos of the event. I thought I had heard about taken by someone from a nearby store.
One of the older bikers was an ex cop or deputy. One of the bikers posted $100,000 cash bail. Could be drug money, or he could be the CEO of an oil company. It sounds like there was a mix of “types” of bikers.
One other thing. If I’m there and see my friend getting shot at by some criminal, I would pull by legal concealed carry weapon and defend him. Of course, if there are already all sorts of cops around, I would probably not do that at the risk of being considered one of the bad guys and getting shot by the cops. Or perhaps I wouldn’t think that fast.
1984/85+/- time-frame
I’ll check my ‘paper’ motorcycle rights files and see if I can find a copy. It was pre-Internet and I’ve not been able to find it uploaded. (If I were him I would of want it up there either)
He’s also made remarks like “the fewer surviving motorcyclists the better” in the past.
Have you seen the TV commercial where some metro guy dressed all in yellow has some how pissed off some bikers at a pool table. Our “friend” reminds me of that banana guy
Of course they are innocent. They always are. Ferals never do anything wrong.
I'll say this much for the wife and her incarcerated husband, they're paid up on their property taxes, their yard looks mowed and kept and he likes to fish by the looks of the boat. Doubtful they'll be able to foot the bail and who knows if he'll be "sorted out" by the courts in time to make enough to pay the property taxes to keep the roof over his family's head by next year.
Simon has insulted bikers with crude remarks, but not calling for us to run them all over.
The claim is based on a 1987 article by him.
You two are like children as you whisper to each other.
Do you plant yourself at the front door at Sunday morning church service to run records on everyone who enters? Do all FReepers have spotless records? No one at your workplace ever had a run in with the law? Everyone of the relatives at your family reunion never did anything worse than jaywalk? There is a huge difference between “associates” and your best friend who you’d trust with your kids.
“I’ll say this much for the wife and her incarcerated husband, they’re paid up on their property taxes, their yard looks mowed and kept and he likes to fish by the looks of the boat.”
I have no idea if the Theron person is guilty or not, I am addressing your comment/argument.
Plenty of Mafiosi or “Amish” gang members can have a nice paid up house and yards and boats.
Dude go down to your local red and white bar say hi to the 81 Mongols Vagas Booze fighters and G Jokers. Ask them if they are in a 1% club. Also ask them how many members are in their clubs. Be sure to shake hands with your gloves and sunglasses on Lastly ask them if you can score some dope from them Then get back to me. I wait for your response
How about you quit making up childish rewrites and read post 197?
Why are you curling up in a childish fetal position rather than discuss your 1% nonsense?
You keep doing everything you can to avoid discussing your claim of “”Most dont realize that you can be a 1%er without being a criminal””.
Why won’t you even attempt to explain that?
You can tell a person by the company he hangs out with.
Yea course she would say he is innocent.
It could be that the cops were better shots and knew the importance of cover and concealment.
A biker chick who enjoys a good gang-whine. Kinky.
You are right, those are the two clubs, although in the report I heard I think they said it was the other way around. Hard to keep these clubs straight. It may have been the Banditos who objected to the rocker. I guess if they wear a lower rocker that says Texas they are claiming the whole state as their territory.
