It depends. If it hurts America he’ll do it. Otherwise - no.
The other NATO nations must be reeling at the lack of US leadership after so many years.
Many argued in past years, “Why should the US be the policeman of the world?”
We are now seeing the withdrawal of the US from the world stage and we are seeing that our enemies are filling the void.
The other western democracies, when cut open, are found to be rotting at the core.
This cannot end well, if the majority of the people no longer hold the values of the founders. The structure cannot save us from the people who occupy the positions of leadership in this nation, in government, the military, in our education system, and in all of Western cultural institutions.
This is why I support Ted Cruz. He may be able to gather enough like-minded people to hold back the tide for a time, in the the hopes that there will be a sea-change and the people will come to their senses.
