The world general means, An adherent of the Christian faith, regardless of lifestyle, whereas we normally mean, A genuine follower of Jesus. The former can father numerous children out of wedlock; the latter cannot.
Why not? "Genuine follower of Jesus" does NOT mean "Perfect like Jesus".
At least I sure hope it doesn't...

As soon as I read that, I knew damn good and well that Michael Brown was going to try to judge B. B. King. And that is just what he attempted to do.
But then, maybe God want to listen some blues as it was meant to be played.

We have all been sinners since day 1. What sets Christians apart is that they recognize Jesus as the redeemer and do the best that they can.

I don’t know about the Christian part, but I never heard him pull the race card. I believe most of his audiences in the last 20 years or so were white.

And the bible says, "People who pray in public, already have their reward".
Yeah. They get to be mean to the rest of us.
How rewarding.

A person’s guilt status is determined by Jesus based on our repentance and the condition of our heart - not us.
But for me and mine, we are sinners but try to do what is right living according to our faith. We do not name good evil and evil good. When I was a young person in my 20’s, I did a terrible job. I always have something to confess to Jesus and turn away from sin as best I can.
So we can not pass judgement on the state of heart and soul for other Christians (i.e. you are going to hell!) as that is the job of Jesus. But we can and must judge the good and evil actions of ourselves and other people (that action is a sin). Gays are demanding that Christians name sin good and demanding they participate in sin.
