It’s an unusual event. Teams of heavily armed police waiting for an altercation — then storming in guns blazing.

These biker gangs are a scourge on society — but something about the police actions in this instance seems somehow distasteful.

Well when you know you have groups of armed undesirables in an area you are going to come down on them rather than give them an area to riot. This wasn’t Baltimore after all.

WHat a bunch of crap. The Waco cops saved the day. The criminal biker summit was taking place. The management of twin peaks utterly refused to cooperate in any way with discouraging the event from happening in a restaurant in the city.
The cops unhappily respected the private property owners bad decision. They backed off to the closest legal distance and watched. When the jackass child/men started a gun, knife, and chain fight,,, they moved in and ended it hard.

In your mind should the cops have just been nowhere in the area and waited for a call? They tried to intervene before and were rebuffed. They waited close by for the inevitable. ANd when it happened they moved in forcefully and took no losses, protected the city from spillover, restricted the losses to bad guys participating.
I see nothing even slightly distasteful about the cop actions.
