An Air Force general who recently spoke about how God has guided his career should be court-martialed, a civil liberties group is saying.
In a speech at a National Day of Prayer Task Force event on May 7, Maj. Gen. Craig Olson credits God for his accomplishments in the military, and refers to himself as a redeemed believer in Christ.
The Air Force Times reports that the Military Religious Freedom Foundation has taken issue with Olsons remarks, is calling for the two-star general to be court-martialed and "aggressively and very visibly brought to justice for his unforgivable crimes and transgressions."
The group authored a letter to Chief of Staff Gen. Mark Walsh, arguing that Olsons speech violates rules within the Air Force, which prohibits airmen from endorsing a particular faith or belief.

I know a lot about it. Only even remotely potential is Art 133, Conduct Unbecoming or Art 134, the general article. Neither of which applies to anything he said.
God bless and keep you and your precious family.

Just look at the ramifications of what has happened when they took God out of the schools. The same thing will happen to the military. God will not go where He is not wanted,
That plan is now almost complete.

Nor the ones children their children served in military either for those of us over 50. We had officers who were part of prayer services unofficially held in the ships Chapel beside the Chaplains and their scheduled services. I just can't picture the CHENG I served under complying with this tyranny nor my uncle who was a Gator Freighter C.O. IIRC our Weapons Officer lead a prayer group also.
So I suppose that it is just a sign of the times Mr. Robinson. however, you can bet the farm, no good will come from it.
I count General Olson as a personal friend from the terribly troubled years when the Marines persevered in re-making the V-22 program.
My professional role made me assume the role of a fair and balanced overseer of the Osprey test program on behalf of the SecDef. Several years before the disasterous year 2000, the program WAS “troubled” to use the preferred media appelation for the program.
Craig became PMA-275, a joint USMC/USAF program.
We participated in many, many activities around the country, and it became clear immediately that, under Craig’s leadership, and with clear support from HQ Marine Corps, the program had turned around and was going to redo things properly.
I attribute this to the inspired leadership Olson provided. He was tireless, honest, and insisted on open, honest communications among the many interested parties in the V-22.
On the personal side, Craig and I had many conversations in which he revealed his profound religiosity. Check the names of his four sons. Indeed, I think that was the very basis of his great leadership. I found none of his invocations of The Lord offensive, but I’ve always feared that it would make him a martyr. I doubt he cares much about that, based on his strong faith. What a sham the senior USAF leadership is selling. THEY, not General Olson, should be tried for dereliction of duty.
Major General Olson is a Godly man and a great leader. The best PM I ever encountered in my very long career testing airplanes.

Things have changed since I retired from the USAF. I have this gut feeling, that before too much time passes, it will be illegal to have faith in God. I wonder if they are getting the camps ready?
Any White Christian man joining or serving in the United States military is a fool (or was fooled). You are joining or serving an institution that hates you (although still needs your blood and toil) and despite the bluff and bluster does nothing to defend your interests.
There are many ways to actually serve your community if you desire to do so: become an EMT, firefighter, police (or better yet a peace officer), or even an utility linesman (getting the power back to people after a storm serves the community in a way that mid-east wars and ‘peacekeeping’ do not).
If you are ex-military teach young White Christian men how to shoot and basic military tactics but encourage them to get a real job, discourage them from serving in this debased military. That way they will actually serve the community now, but still be able to defend it it that should be needed in the future (civil unrest not a Russian or Islamic invasion or more likely threats to the community).
The biggest threat to White Christian conservative Americans is not military but cultural; you must deny your efforts and support for those institutions that are hostile to you.
The Mikey Weinsteins of this world will not disappear when Obama leaves. Do you really think the globalists/transanationalists/Chamber-of-Commerce types will do anything to protect traditional military culture other than to ensure rich ‘defense’ contracts.
The reason conservatives traditionally supported the military was because it used to be a traditional conservative organization. That obviously is no longer the case and a change of government will likely not repair that. It is sad to lose another institution but even sadder to continue to support it ‘just because.’
The liberal sin is to want to destroy everything good; the conservative sin is to seek to preserve that which was already destroyed.
This is not some peacenik pacifist screed. It is not even meant to be anti-martial. If you are of a more warrior mentality fight for your local community against cultural invasion; fight your church when it goes ‘hip’ to appeal to people who will never join; fight the ‘civil rights’ groups that proclaim you cannot have a nativity scene at Christmas. If you want a fight and want to defend a Christian, conservative America, there are many better places than the military.
Somebody needs to body slam this Weinstein POS!
When you give credit where credit is due, it is not an endorsement: it is a statement of fact.
The two greatest commandments come to mind - Love Him with every fiber of our being -- Love our fellows as ourselves: for where there is Love, there is no harm and that in it's essence fulfills the intent of all the Law that was in place before His sacrifice. Those two commandments are the one thing that links the Old and New Covenants and they explain God's greatest wish for His children.
The attack on Christianity in a Christian founded nation grows. The charge is led by statists, Muslims, and homos. Hollywood and a vile and corrupt old media are their mouthpieces. The tide of evil is in their favor.
