Amtrak is a train wreck and should be shut down. A private service would take its place if it is viable.

Private sector buses, they could use the highways AND ride the rails.

They could call it AMBUS...

How many seconds do you think it would take Greyhound to roll some buses into the Amtrak station, once they heard it was kaput?
