Gavin McInnes, Tamara Holder Have Respectful, Thoughtful Exchange of Ideas on Feminism

Mediate gets the vapors:

Josh Feldman writes: Sean Hannity panel tonight exploded when Gavin McInnes argued that many women are miserable because they “put work over family” — a result of modern feminism, he argued.

While debating the gender wage gap, McInnes asserted that women earn less “because they choose to” and are “less ambitious.” Tamara Holder was pretty taken aback, flatly telling her counterpart: “Your comments are absolutely deplorable.”

Even Fox host Sean Hannity squirmed during Gavin’s gleefully over-the-top rant. HuffPo‘s takedown:

Mad wet hen. I wonder if that’s where the saying “you are all wet” came from?

Gavin is totally irreverent, funny as all get out, fearless, and amazingly perceptive. And yeah, he’s kinda crass, most of the time. He writes routinely at a site called Takimag - he’s probably even better in print than he is in video.

My favorite moment is where she criticized his suit. She had nothing

Gavin in one of his alternate persona’s (”Jimmy Macinnes”) ranting on Dear Leader on Red Eye a ways back (he’ll start up about a minute or so into the clip):

Nope, came from “wet behind the ears”, no wonder it’s obscure, with all the smoke being blown up the butt of the younger generation.

Maybe he could tell me why I who have twice the education, near the experience twice the workload if my counterpart (twice as many customers) as he) do I make less I can’t explain it other than that I’m a girl

Say it again, but in English.

He’s right. Women tend to prefer to be eclectic than to be doing one thing all the time, whereas men tend to prefer to be focused on one thing at a time.

The nice thing about being eclectic is that you have a varied interests, but the cost is that you don’t become as skilled, so you tend to earn less than somebody who has dedicated his entire interests into that one activity.

It is far wiser to stop worrying about what other employees are doing and focus on one’s own work. It’s like worrying about hypocrites at church. There will always be some of those, and it gains one nothing to let that interfere with one’s own walk with Christ.

Bosses care about results more than they do performances. Some people are capable of putting in less work, but they get better results.

Life isn’t fair, get used to it. :)

I think you’re right, but that’s also a generalization. Some women are focused and are willing to sacrifice everything for the job, but I daresay they are rarer than similarly driven men.

Those women who are just as driven will generally earn about the same as the men who are driven.

thats absolutely hilarious. And he's right. My wife, for example... career IT person, wanted to be a professional (and she is). At this stage in her career makes just as much money as I did when I was at her point (we both do IT work). Now all she wants to do is quit and stay home with the kids, family IS more important. You can only deny natural order with false words. Too bad these fembots consider it an insult rather than the beauty of human nature that it is.

At least in my field, I know only of one female that has put the same amount of time and effort into work and career as I have... and she makes more money than I do. His assessment is spot on.

I agree 100%. Had watched the espisode myself, and was laughing so hard my wife came in to see why. She thought it was high-larius, too. McGinnis knew how to push poor little Tamara’s buttons and she danced like a marionette. And I agree that Sean had his head down because he was laughing. It was a great segment.

I liked how, at the end, she kept babbling about “women should have a choice”.

Well, guess what lady? Women DO have choices. They can choose to put work first, or they can choose to put family first. Those who choose the latter are paid less. What she REALLY wants is for women to be paid the same as men REGARDLESS of their choices.

Feminism is not about equality — it is about female SUPREMACY.

You left out time with the company...

Big factor...

If you in sales, many other factors play into total compensation picture...

So, first she told him he was wrong that it was because women make a choice, then told him she was making a choice.

She was clueless.

Even her answers are often incoherent. Is it true that Tamara Holder had an affair with Jesse Jackson?

That was great!!! At 64 I have lived thru the feminist mumbo jumbo...I had to work...divorced with a son...and always wondered why I really never liked going to work...I’m sure ci workers THOUGHT I was a feminist...but mostly I just kept my head down, worked hard, and tried to keep from drowning in the liberal lies of the times... (70s, 80s)
