I'm not a Willie Nelson fan either.
Evidently you don't know what "country blues" means. I suggest you go to YouTube or Spotify and listen to some Charlie Patton, Son House, Barebecue Bob, or Yank Rachell.
Played some guitar at a local blues jam session last night and everybody seemed a little off. Late in the session, we got the news that Mr. King had passed away. Coincidence? RIP sir.
An earlier posting if anyone is interested in reading the comments thereon:

‘King of the Blues’ blues legend B.B. King dead at age 89 ^
Sure, I know. I only brought up that some people actually like different music even though they are associated with something different. To each his own.
Since he both had a stamp and was honored at the Kennedy Center, I take it you don’t think he deserved either. Care to explain why?
>>The Thrill is Gone...<<
lol...clever.
RIP BB....expectin to hear you playin for the Lord when I get there.
Six Strings Down
BB always looked happiest when he was playing.
Image the show that is going on in heaven right now
Then I apologize for my harsh words.
I never saw or knew about a US stamp with BB King and I didn’t know he was a Kennedy Center celebrant.... I guess there wasn’t enough hoopla associated with it... because I didn’t see it.
If you’d like to take that personally, you are perfectly welcome to. :)
You might enjoy the Delta Blues Museum in Clarksdale, MS. Several years ago I was eating a hamburger next door at Ground Zero and Morgan Freeman walked in. The last time I went down there Sam Moore and Charlie Musselwhite were there. Like most Delta towns, it’s an impoverished place, but I enjoy the blues. I like it all, but I prefer Hill Country Blues—R.L. Burnside, Junior Kimbrough, Mississippi Fred McDowell, Bukka White, etc.
By the way, Yank Rachell grew up in Brownsville, TN, and so did my grandfather. Yank was a few years younger than my grandfather, but they were of the same generation. I’m sure their memories of that time and place were vastly different. Decades later I was born a few miles away. My memories of Brownsville from the 60’s are of an endless sea of cotton.

Honored with a stamp, but the USPS put Robert Johnson’s picture on it.
Saw this great a few years ago at the house of blues in Chicago.
Rip.
So USPS is racist?
Yeah he did the same in Chicago. Had a 20 year old open for him. Kid was great.
Mister King was blessed to have been able to play pretty much right until the end.
We were blessed to have been able to enjoy it for so long.
His music will live on.
I thought they didn’t do stamps of living people.
One of the greatest guitarists of all time. Influenced many an artist. I loved his music and his shows.
RIP, “King of the Blues!”
I had just started listening to blues music in general recently; the man was truly gifted. RIP to a great man.
Well, yes. But also clumsy, think the recent stamp for Maya Angelou.
