What a token POS, and an insult to “the help” (who actually work); they have created an environment where not only is learning a “white thing”, but real work is as well. I pity those who have to supervise unassimilated blacks hired for quotas; the resentment is tangible, and having any expectations at all is “racist”. Twenty years ago I worked with noticeably more blacks than today; I think a lot of employers just avoid the headaches by hiring other “preferred groups” (Hispanics, white women) to fend off lawsuits.
I used to be such a manager. Many black people are hard working individuals. But I did run into one radical who threatened me with a knife in front of the crew. I would have called the police, but I knew how ‘tight’ the crew would be in keeping its story straight. My manager refused to believe me too. Then her fiancee backed her up with a second knife threat. I transfered out of there the first chance I had. Needed the income to get a house loan.
Another manager was threatened with a knife in another restaurant. And a third manager was beaten by her boyfriend at the cashier counter. The only big promotions were through intrigues, nepotism, and backroom deals. I wasted too many years with that stinking food chain.
I worked with another manager who had a vendetta against marines. I tried to get rid of that boss, but I ended up on a commute ‘out-the-door’ transfer. To be fair, my health was not the best by then. I just couldn’t work ‘top notch’ with an undiagnosed health problem.
