Former New York Gov. George Pataki said Thursday that he will announce at a May 28 event in New Hampshire whether he will run for president.
Pataki said he was not worried about the increasingly crowded Republican field of candidates.
Ive learned early on that you cant worry about what you cant control. You can only control your ideas, your vision and how hard you work, and thats all Im worried about, he said on MSNBCs Morning Joe.

I think we need another set of hollyweird shows where the winner runs for president. We should all run...
The world awaits in excited anticipation for this historic announcement.
Holy crap! That’s all we need.
I liked him in NY. Well, this state is so liberal though.
We will see.
Who?, what?, snore....oh...why waste yer money George?
Looks like now we can call the GOP 2016 race a freak show. There is a network effect. The more candidates the more chance they might get say a top 3 placement in IA/NH with a vote percentage under 15%. That encourages more freaks.
wouldn’t it be easier if we just had announcements from the few people who are NOT running for president?
Oh, look. Another GOP Progressive.
Pataki? I thought people from that country between Afghanistan and India aren’t eligible to be president.
Other than George’s mom, who cares?
I expect him to poll Gary Bauer-like numbers.
I see this as good news - someone else to split up the RINO vote.
The Cheap Labor Express will fund as many candidates as it takes to get an amnesty candidate.
The more they split the vote the more likely they can get Bush or Rubio nominated.
I was thinking I need to run. I’m 56 years old, semi-retired. VERY conservative. I’ve never been elected to anything, but given just a little bit of press I’m pretty sure I could get 1% of the vote?
Agree
Maybe he could debate Santorum. Wonder Twin 3rd tier candidate powers activate!
The debates are going to be fascinating. I think we may have to have them in a football stadium just for the candidates can be placed in a row. I know there was talk of 20 candidates but I didn’t think it would actually happen. This is going to be one heck of a primary season. The Democrats are going to have such a bore. Ours is going to be lively and fun.
