Experts estimate there will be less than a year's worth of drinking water in California's reservoirs at the end of 2015 Yet the rich and famous of Los Angeles continue to water their lawns with apparently no concern for conservation Aerial images have shown the ever-green lawns of Kim Kardashian, Barbra Streisand and Petra Stunt among others
Barbra Streisand appears to have been shamed into cutting her water usage after shocking aerial photographs showed her Malibu yard looking lush and green despite California experiencing its worst drought in history.
Residents across California have been demolishing pools, cutting back on showers and letting their lawns turn brown after experts estimated that there will be less than a year's worth of drinking water left in the state's reservoirs by the end of 2015.
But recent aerial photographs have shown that many stars are keeping their yards well watered with their green lawns contrasting sharply with the dusty brown landscape surrounding them.
A spokesman for Streisand had earlier issued a statement to the Post claiming she had cut her water usage by over 50 per cent in the past few months, though photographs showed her pool full and her lawn well manicured.
Images showed the mega-mansions owned by Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez and heiress Petra Stunt to be among the most verdant in Los Angeles.
'The Kardashian flowers and hedges are right in our face,' a neighbor of West and Kardashian in Hidden Hills told the New York Post. 'Its disgusting. You walk by and you can smell the freshness.'
The reality star previously claimed that she was washing her hair only every five days in response to the drought, a move she called 'a little excessive, maybe'.

These libtard elitist wannabes never realized they were just useful idiots....they’re now being whipped in line just like the rest of us over this deliberately manufactured “crisis”.
I’m surprised she didn’t blame it on the army of illegal alien gardeners working on the lot...Of course i speculate they are illegals...
Water conservation is only for the little people.
I seem to remember her calling for people to wash their clothes down by the river to save energy or some such nonsense that she herself would never do.
Now, she will have to do another Farewell Tour to pay for the water bill and fines.
There will still be many who follow Barbara. They’re true believers in all she says.
One of the additions to the dictionary this year will be “water shaming”.
Since everything in California is a potential source of guilt, however, it might be generalized to “California shaming”, which would make a good title for a Mamas and Papas song.
Have a liberal friend who is all about taking money away from the rich, giving it to the poor. “Free” healthcare, blah, blah, blah.
I asked him if his house was paid off given what he does. Yes it is he replied.
So I suggested he sell his house and give all the money to the poor on the streets of his city. Just distribute it around evenly amongst them.
Well, he said, he’s not going to do THAT.
But it’s OK to take money away from other people. That’s all good and right.
OK
I could tell you stories about the California rich and their water demands.
Here here.
Well somebody has to grow those roses she wants strewn in her toilet bowl......
Liberals have “Feelings”
There is a reason the US Navy labeled "Hollywood Showers" as such.
Waterlogged bitch.
Water conservation for thee but not for me!
I think it’s hilarious that one gal is saving water by only washing her hair once every five days. Until I was 17 years old we lived on a farm and we only washed our hair when we took our weekly bath - on Saturday night, and everybody used the same tub of water. Not really sure when everybody decided they needed to wash their hair at least once a day. We seemed to survive quite well without it.

The experts are lying.
