The book was great. The movie...not so much. Although it is campy enough to be fun once in a while.
I have gotten a little over halfway thru the book, and so far the movie depicted practically nothing that was in it, other than boot camp, which, according to the book, was much more tougher and intense than the it portrayed...................................
