I think you are on the wrong site. Unclear of the concept.

Besides overtly mocking the jihadis, by not having the actors draw Mohammed, the writers proved that they are in fear of the jihadis as well.
It makes the point doubly effective, whether they intended to or not.

Yes they got the Muhammad cartoon thing right but they sure worked the Republican president candidates over. It wasn’t funny, in fact most of SNL was pretty stupid this whole season. Not only are so many of the funny people gone, I think the good writers are gone too.

I do not watch - no television. But, did you see the thing they did on Hillary?

SNL is much cooler than Pam Geller, as far as the MSM is concerned.
Pam Geller is held to be more responsible for the terrorist attack against her than the terrorists who attempted it are.
I very much doubt that SNL gets the same treatment. One reason is that most of the writers who write news copy would actually rather be writing for SNL.
And no, I’m not on the wrong site.

The Prophet Mohammed - nothing.
Yeah, that works on several levels.

Actually it's been improving and is way better today than it was in the much heralded 1970s period. With the exception of the most recent ones, as they are new, I've probably seen every episode at least twice and many of them more than that. Yes, we are talking well over 700 shows here. Each show is so topical that watching the earlier shows is like seeing a time capsule.
I would say the true SNL golden period started when Lorne Michaels returned in 1985. The first 10 years, SNL has way more misses than hits. While I have a fondness for the original cast of Radner; Belushi; Murray; Curtain; etc., let's face it, some of those skits are painful to watch today. If not for Steve Martin (frequent host) and Eddie Murphy, the show might have been cancelled for good before it really hit its stride.
I simply don't buy the contention many Freepers seem to have that SNL pulls punches when it comes to liberals. I simply haven't seen it. SNL's brand of satire is applied across the political spectrum.
It's quite an accomplishment to pull off a 90-minute live show 20+ weeks years after year.

I have watched SNL since its first year, I am a fan thru good years and bad. They have done several things on Hillary so I am not sure what you are referring to.

There appears to be about a million and one things that offend Muslims enough to make them want to kill the offender.
At some point the nation might have to come to the realization that accommodation of Islam and a free society is impossible.

When the liberals do it, it is all good.

Now that you clarified that, I understand your previous post...I can see why it was questioned... just saying.
