I’m just saying it doesn’t sound like there is any form of assessment to ensure that unschooled students are making academic progress. If the state cannot verify that these parents are providing adequate instruction or even basic levels of literacy and numeracy. nevermind quality educational outcomes, the family should be given the support and accountability they need to step up their efforts.
That's like handing the keys to the head thief - Half of your local high school probably can't meet those standards. If they can't provide basic literacy and numeracy in the public system, what right do they have to skool anyone on how they are doing it?
Meh.
