As supporters of Cruz, we are so used to seeing him throw the long ball and connect that it is disappointing to see him have to punt.
But punting is a fact of life in football.
Ted Cruz is throwing the ball out of bounds to stop the clock. But we are left in limbo not knowing if there is anything else that can be done.

I don't know about that/this. It just seems like there's a bunch of people ready and willing to excuse anything Cruz says or does — there's a lot of truth in the sarcastic comment Hawthorn made (Cruz can do no wrong. /s). I didn't like that attitude among the Obama supporters, I didn't like it among some of the Palin supporters, and I don't like it in some of the Cruz supporters.

Right is right, wrong is wrong, and the essentials thereof don't change dependent on the person being talked about.

Cruz voted NO on cloture. That tells everyone where his principles reside.

One should not compare Cruz with Obama. Obama is a con whereas Cruz is the real deal.

Cruz came out right away with an explanation why he voted yes. He keeps everyone appraised of where he’s at in political battles. You don’t see that in any other candidates.

As for people blindly following Cruz, that is something that does not exist. Cruz has been followed here for years now and people here have had a lot to time to evaluate him for his sincerity. He has excelled and continues to excel beyond everyone’s expectations. The only other person that comes close to him in sincerity and communication ability is Sarah Palin, but she’s not a candidate.

Look my FRiend what did you want Cruz to do?

1. He voted against cloture because he wanted a real amendment to be considered on the table instead of this Corker crap.

2. The GOPe got their way leaving the Corker crap as the take it or leave it approach. If it passes, it does very little to stop a bad deal with Iran in a practical way but if it fails, the GOPe was willing to close the door and just let have Bozo shove whatever deal without congressional approval. Realistically, Bozo’s going to get his crappy Iran deal either way because no one in the Senate has a spine save for a few who are not in the leadership.

3. So Cruz voted for the crap since what little it does to stop a bad Iran deal is still better than nothing. But should a real treaty ever be considered in the Senate or the Senate agrees to vote on any “deal” with Iran, do you really think Cruz is going to vote for that?

Tom Cotton, meanwhile gets a lot of praise for being the only double-no vote today. Ok, just remember Cotton caved on the vote to raise the debt ceiling when he was in the House.

Frankly I don’t have a problem with Cruz’s vote today just like I didn’t have any problem with his absence on the Lynch vote after cloture passed. It’s not a mystery where the man stands on the issues.

Amen.He skipped the Lynch vote as well. Didn’t like that either. When will we learn to stop putting our faith in men. Tom Cotton is the patriot on this one.
