The murder charges filed against the Baltimore officers who arrested Freddie Gray could be dropped, because the police investigation into his death doesn't support the prosecution's case, it's been reported.
Last Friday, Baltimore City State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby levelled charges ranging from assault to second-degree murder at six police officers involved in Gray's death. He had suffered a fatal spinal injury while in police custody.

The officials said that the internal probe team do not believe a charge more serious than manslaughter should be brought against any of the officers, according to CNN. RELATED ARTICLES
What's more, defense lawyers are mounting a challenge to Mosby's assertion that the officers had unlawfully arrested Gray because the knife he had in his pocket is considered legal under Maryland state law.
Marc Zayon, the attorney for Edward Nero, one of the officers charged, argued in a motion filed Monday that the knife in Gray's pocket — described in charging documents as 'a spring assisted, one hand operated knife' — is in fact illegal under state law.

Someone who didn’t know better might assume that Baltimore City State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby is a corrupt moron who filed charges without even checking the evidence. Fortunately, we know that she’s just as qualified, objective, and honest as Barack Hussein Obama himself.
They will have to refile two of the cases so we will see then what is what.

Doesn’t this just show that there was a rush to judgment. Now we see certain charges may be dropped??
Why in the heck did they rush to announce indictments before a complete investigation was done in the first place? Did she put the cart before the Horse????? and did she do that due to her color and due to her youth and inexperience in high profile cases????
What a commentary on the people of Baltimore that the question is even asked.
I’m not sure what the article means by “dropped” but I can assure you the murder charge won’t be dismissed by the prosecutor. Even if a prosecutor knows a charge is bogus in a case like this they would generally rather go to court and lose than dismiss the case. If they lose in court they can always blame the judge and/or jury. (Racism!) If they dismiss the charge it is an admission they filed a bogus count. I do believe with this case they are on for the whole ride unless MD law provides that a judge can somehow dismiss such a charge prior to trial.
I hope Baltimore burns to the ground and the cops stand back again and let it happen. This is directly tied to a corrupt and incompetent administration trying to make political prisoners out of 6 cops who just did their jobs. Every cop should either go on strike or submit their resignations. Let Baltimore sink into a cesspool of crime.

The rushed murder charges were obviously pandering to the mob to quell the rioting. But even this inexperienced prosecutor should know you can’t make the charges stick if the evidence isn’t there.
