Some nuclear is good because you need some diversification.
Not sure if the solar / battery combo will have much impact, but there will always be a need for 100% electric load, some of the time; from fossil/nuclear/hydro sources.
NY, led by Mario the Pious, shut down an entire, brand new, functioning nuclear power plant, then charged the people to pay for it thru their electric bills.
I don’t feel sorry for the liberals in NYC at all...............................
