No evidence huh? See the link for text messages.....

...

I saw them, and if that’s all the NFL has, they’ve got nothing from a legal standpoint.

What I’ve learned from DeflateGate:

Cheating doesn’t matter if it doesn’t affect the outcome of the game.

A disaster for Tom Brady? No, not in the least.

...

I agree. And, if nothing else, he seemed to play better when the balls were known to be inflated to higher pressure, the second half of the Colts game and the SB.

I suspect he will be more manly about it than his defenders Brady "manning up"? I don't expect that ... not for a minute.

If this was a one time incident, we could give it a pass.

But there is a pattern with this team since this coach has taken over.

Brady and the coach should be suspended for at least 4 games, and their first two round draft choices for the next two years should be taken away.

They must be punished or the stretching of rules will continue.

Read page 228. The NFL has no idea idea if anything really
happened.

That someone ‘probably’ did something is not evidence nor substantiation of charges.

It seems that ‘probably’ is all they could come up with after 4 months of investigation.

Yes it is. The standard of proof under the NFL's rules (which is the same as the standard of proof in nearly ever civil lawsuit) is the "preponderance of the evidence," meaning that, in order to impose disciline on someone, all they have to prove is that it was "more probable than not" that the person violated the rules.

The fact that this investigation found that it was "more probable than not" that Brady was involved does not indicate weakness in the evidence, it indicates that they conducted the investigation pursuant to the relevant burden of proof.

So we are going to convict a guy based on the probability he is guilty?? Is this America, or Iran??

In civil cases, here in America, a "probability" is all you need.

The final score was 45-7. Stop being a bunch of crybabies.

I think the fair thing to do would be to get rid of the Patriot's scores from the first half, since that's how long it went until the balls were discovered.

Pats with the win, 28-7.

Disaster. Still an nfl star. Still rich. Still married to a supermodel.

The horrors. :)

Suspend him from the second half of the first pre-season game. Maybe the second one too. And no desert either.

The Patriots have been cheating at least since the 70s.
The only team I root to lose no matter who they’re playing.
If the Chicoms had a team against them I’d root for the Chicoms also.

The problem is that Goodell set the precedent with the Saints and banished Peyton for a year, saying that ignorance is no excuse.

So, if that’s the case, then it’s only fair that Belichick face the same punishment as Peyton, to be consistent.

People have been cheating in business since business was invented and so on and so on. It does matter were the lack of ethics is it should no be condoned. The fact that ethics doesn’t matter to some is almost as egregious as the cheating. In my experience people who have no problem letting cheaters slide are generally known to cut more than a few corners themselves when no one is looking.

I’m talking about Brady. I think that the Pats would only have been fined for this, but since Brady snubbed Obamba, now they’re going after him!

Brady is an integral part of the Pats success. Kraft is a strong Obama supporter. Why would Obama take steps to hurt Kraft?

Exactly. I'm really surprised at the number of people who have this viewpoint. "The Patriots won big. What difference at this point does it make?" Sigh.
