Child support ends when the kid reaches the age of majority.
If you stayed married you would probably be supporting your kid in your house till he was 26.

I actually wasn’t aware of that. A guy I worked with got it REALLY bad. Lost all 4 of his kids and pays out the wazoo for child support. He was a raging alcoholic until the payments cured him of it. He was actually a jolly drunk though. Rick was an ok guy he just liked to party. Dude pays 700 a week. They figure it based on income, I understand.
