Ted Wells' investigation into the possibility that the New England Patriots were involved in deflating footballs for the AFC championship game has found that it's more likely than not some of the Patriots were guilty.
"Based on the evidence developed in connection with the investigation and summarized in this Report, we have concluded that it is more probable than not that New England Patriots personnel participated in violations of the NFL Playing Rules and were involved in a deliberate attempt to circumvent those rules," the report, released Wednesday, said.
With that line on Page 121 of the massive report, it again questions the validity of the Patriots' great dynasty, which included a Super Bowl victory this past February, the fourth for coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady.

At least the third post of this.
Correct
The report also concludes that a thorough investigation was conducted in order to give enough time for the Super Bowl to be waaaaaaaaaaaaaay done and over with allowing the NFL to move onto yet another season where punishment for the incident in question really is too little, too late.
“So the NFL confirms what we already knew....the Patriots are cheaters. Pathetic.”
Read the article. The phrase used over and over was “more probable than not”. That means it is just the author’s opinion. Nothing has been proved.
The Patriots played far better in the second half when balls were at regulation pressure than in the first half when they were supposedly deflated.
A football’s PSI goes down when the ball is wet and when the temperature goes down.
A four month study and no proof.
There is no proof of anything.
So the NFL confirms what we already knew....the Patriots are cheaters. Pathetic.
Maybe they need to give the ball a little squeeze when it’s introduced into the game. You know, like how an umpire will examine a baseball.
Not that I think this is COMPLETELY irrelevant. No, I see it a bit like analogous to, in the world of auto related infractions, getting caught feeding the meter.
The big questions; will they lose their rings and if so who gets the trophy?
Enjoy the Kool Aid
Just like the murder charges against Tony Stewart and Bruce Jenner, Patriot cheating will live forever in FReeper lore.
Looser always look for a reason of why they cannot beat champions. Its what looser do.....
You sound like a Jets fan.
I can see why you are bitter.
“More likely than not” is legal speak for someone effed with the balls, we just don’t know who.
The firm was hired and PAID by the NFL. What do you expect them to say? This was far from independent. It’s all a dog show and nothing significant will happen.
My guess is, the Pats are fined and from now on, balls will be handled only by the league before games.
Not even close. I just can’t stand cheaters.
“More likely than not is legal speak for someone effed with the balls, we just dont know who.”
More likely than not is legal speech for “I don’t know what happened, but this is what I think happened.”
Bruce/Brucilla Jenner murdered someone?...with what, a spiked heel?
More likely and more probable well that is some damning evidence. NOT!
Well, s/he and the Kardashians should face the death penalty for being annoying...
Snatching Victory By The Balls of Deflate
Actually they didn’t really confirm anything. “More probable than not” is not confirmation language. Basically what their investigation says is that Brady likes the balls a certain way, and there’s a team employee who handles the balls who regularly gets swag from Tom that’s not really in line with his normal duties so it seems likely that this guy made things they way Tom likes them. Which isn’t really all that exciting. More probable than not they’ll be changing the rules over the next two years, this year the refs will exercise more control over the balls after inspection, next year the rule will be drastically loosened.
