In the wake of the terror attack on Pamela Gellers Mohammed cartoon contest and free speech conference, the media are ramping up their mantra that caveats come with free speech. They dont seem to realize that free speech with caveats is no longer free speech.
One journalist after another after another has pounded away about the need to be sensitive to others (others = Muslims) and not to do anything that might offend (offend = violence). Watching this cascade of sheer media madness has been like witnessing a hazardous waste site from a toxic explosion, belching globs of dhimmitude and accusations of fauxslamophobia. The relentlessness of the attack has been shocking along with the hubris these journalists appear to possess, as if the long arm of Islam will not touch their lives in unthinkable ways.
*snip*
n addition to Pamela Geller, Robert Spencer is also taking a lot of heat, as evidenced during an interview on CNN, where Spencer was accused of setting bait and wanting violence.
Spencer also appeared on MidPoint, Newsmax TV, where the journalist started out with this statement: Theres a fine line to be drawn between making a political statement and inciting someone to start breaking out the rifles and taking shots.

So much for Pamela Geller
So... that "someone" who decides to break out the rifle is the approval authority for what constitutes free speech. Got it.
That is a narrow view.
It's a big umbrella.
She is also in company with millions and millions of patriots, humanitarians and just plain good people who exercised their 1st amendment rights dating back to 1791.
Not sure what Pamela did was very bright, but in a clumsy way, she did a great service to America:
1- she highlighted with great clarity what a clear and present danger ISIS and radical Islam is to America, and
2- she highlighted with great clarity what a clear and present danger the mainstream media is to America
So they want “Freedom”, but blame her freedom of speech as incitement to these wackos?
Typical liberal logic!

...
I saw a CNN article last night that called it a “free speech event.” I was shocked.
Go Pamela Geller!!!
IMHO
How about we insert Pamela Geller's name where Serrano's is?
With every story like this, people are discussing and forming stronger and stronger opinions. Sides are being taken. People are being exposed. Battle lines are being drawn.
And it’s not just on this issue. It’s also happening with race relations, cops response to crime, etc.
The internet and social media are radically changing the culture. More and more people are getting off the fence and choosing a side on each issue. People are exposing their core values.
This is a very good thing. Bible prophesy actually talks about this in the end days. More and more you will KNOW who you are dealing with.
Thank you for offering a specific example of the media reaction I was talking about in post #30.
That is an excellent point. Many Muslims are offended by dogs, among other things. So perhaps some day there will be a law. No dogs are allowed in places were Muslims might be. No dogs in parks, for example.
Drawing a cartoon of Mohammad is not hate speech. Here’s how you get around it. “Drawing Mohammad makes me feel closer to Allah”
ISIS did say they had fighters in the US ,but they didn’t say it was the Media
The Press will always take the most short-sighted, frightened, and simple answer for any situation.
Ironically, this mirrors the Liberal stance.
Makes you think.
Martha MacCallum and Bill O'Reilly will certainly notice some blowback hopefully pay a little more attention. On second thought...probably not.
And there is a very broad and distinct line between being a journalist and being a biased hack. But the hacks still cling to the illusion that they are part of the "press".
That didn't take very long, did it? COWARDS. Every stinkin last one of them.
