When Smashing Pumpkins takes the stage this summer, part of the bands mission will be to raise awareness of the plight of U.S. military veterans.
For its The End Times tour, the band will work with the Easter Seals Dixon Center on a joint venture called New Beginnings: Reaching Americas Vets.
Frontman Billy Corgan doesnt see it as a partisan issue; rather, he thinks the alt rockers can help some veterans and their families that simply fall through the cracks.

I used to be a huge Smashing Pumpkins fan in the mid-90s. I started to lose interest, but after hearing a few interviews, he reignited my curiosity. They have a few new decent songs as well. He’s always been a rather interesting guy. Well done Billy.
At 4:49 my window is top right. :)
Was a lot of fun, trip was paid for by Warner record company.
Gish
After hearing the bass lines on the songs “Bury Me” and “I Am One” on Gish, I got hooked on the band.
Will they have the balls to bring that to the public attention?
If, republicans showed as much love and concern for US Military Honorably Discharged Veterans ans the rinos and democrats show towards the illegals, they would control both houses, the courts and the oval office.
That’s something that really came home to me yesterday. When a liberal votes for a Demonrat, they know they’re going to get something out of them. When a conservative votes for a Republican, they’ll get nothing except, maybe, a smaller version of a bigger government.
I thought Bury Me was Five Finger Death Punch
Yup, two of favorites...

Billy is a very interesting character. With a little more conservatism he could be a young Ted Nugent.
Corgan is also a born-again Christian, btw
