Advocates of the Obama Administrations nuclear deal with Iran need look no further than Ukraine to see what the consequences of a bad deal with a rogue state can be.
Back in February, the leaders of France, Germany and Russia pressured a desperate Ukrainian president into signing an agreement that made no mention of Russias annexation of the Crimea, guaranteed a special status (read: Russian-controlled) eastern Ukraine, and froze in place the current front lines. This meant that all Russias ill-gotten gains would be held by President Putin. In return, Ukraines President Poroshenko got a sorely-needed $17.5 billion aid package from the Wests International Monetary Fund. Monitoring compliance would be left to Europes OSCE.

didn’t know that. That is reason for optimism :)
Whatever happened to Portugal and the land of my ancestors, Italy. I thought they were in trouble too, along with spain.
Portugal is doing very well. They were in deep trouble, but with a help of bailout and change of course to responsibility they are now self sufficient. Italy sadly is still plagued with corruption and Italians see this as a normal course of events. Spain was never in such structural trouble as Portugal and Italy were. Spain had a rather sound fiscal policy and got into “crises club” because they just happened to have a huge real estate boom going.
wow. Thanks for the update. So besides Greece, everyone else is holding their own. Sounds like business as usual in Italy lol
It is getting better. Gunpowder tin of Europe is sitting in the rain and getting wet.
Still Europe has many failures and this has to be dealt with. Of course the Russian KGB is trying to exploit the weak spots and attack it. They are supporting anything they think can be turned to harm Europe. Just as they supported both the Black Panthers and the KKK in the USA.
I for one think that the whole world is getting meaner and it would be a benefit to humanity if two great powers, USA and Europe would join forces to stand against the armies of darkness.
Our civilization won’t get a second chance. If there is a total collapse now there won’t be enough readily accessible oil left on earth to fly to other stars and we will all die in a road to nothing.
I agree with your post. However, the falloff of Christianity in Europe has left a moral void. And some sense of morality is needed to fight against communist nationalist and muslim aggression.
I am a catholic, but even if I were not, I would see the need for Christianity in western civilization. Without a higher law, society falls apart against those with convictions.
It is already happening. We got to witness it. The first time America breaks it’s promise. After all the history it is strangely the first time.
Or maybe not. Maybe there will be a Republican president, who sets the things right.
Another reply.
If Ukraine had nuclear weapons they would not be in this shit today. They had the third largest nuclear arsenal in the world before giving it up for the promise that America will protect them.
I don’t think any country ever is now going to trust the promises from the USA.
They never should have trusted Clinton.
