The guy is a scumbag and I’m glad he was shot but I do have a problem with this: “ knowingly and willfully making a materially false statement to the Federal Bureau of Investigation”
What’s to prevent them from twisting anything you say into a “materially false statement”?
You’re not under oath when talking to a cop but they can treat what you say as perjury if they later don’t like it?
I find that disturbing.
That is why you don’t talk to them without council.
Never talk to any fed about anything.
The Patriot Act. What a wonderful thing. Anything you say can fall into it’s clutches.

Lying to a Federal agent is a felony.
Lying to the local cops isn’t.
Don’t talk to either without a lawyer.
