Reminds me of quite a few of the students I've taught over the last 25 years. I'd love to see how he'd behave in my US History classes or Sociology classes in a high school environment. I've had more than a few mini-me styled Jidadists who had me for a teacher and when they discovered what I was all about and about my past service tended to get very quiet for the year. Some passed and did well, others failed. Conduct was usually pretty good. At least in MY classes. With female teachers, those sorts had all kinds of issues and the females were universally terrified of those students. But I never had any problems like that.

They are cowards when it comes right down to it...easily intimidated which is why they sneak and hide. Only when among their kind do they bare their chests like apes in a jungle thumping their chests.

As for your classes, it’s obvious you controlled your classroom . Good on you! Too many are afraid to exert their authority, nor do they no how to do so “legally”.
