Prosecutors seeking to convict six Baltimore officers in the death of a young black man severely injured while in police custody will focus not on what the officers did but on what they allegedly failed to do: provide medical attention to 25-year-old Freddie Gray inside a police van on April 12.

It has been on threads here and elsewhere that the alleged person claiming to be the other passenger is an Imposter. The man who was the actual passenger is still in jail, and this Donta whatever was never even arrested.
News reports have said that the van driver has not given a statement, unless that has changed today.
Fortunately for the officers, the burden of proof is on the prosecution. What little forensic evidence has been leaked, the bolt and preliminary toxicology report, and the statement of the passenger, seem to support the theory that Gray was in large part responsible for his injury.
But what if the driver tried to exercise his duty and another officer or officers refused to obey his request or requests?
Or just form a jury pool of the same cop-hating scumbag looters, rioters and racists that we watched loot the stores, burn the neighborhood, and injure almost 100 police officers.
And you can bet that is the plan.
Not sure you sold your integrity....but I can see that looking back would be hard.
This is a crazy world.
Not only that, he had some very hard drugs in his system.
So why do they have that steel bar on top? That doesn't look like something I'd want to hit my head on. They use the same school buses for first graders as they do for high school seniors. Most males are close to their adult size when they are senior in high school. That's a huge size disparity to account for for safety.
It really depends on what a school bus hits that determines how much protection passengers would need. If the bus hits a passenger car, the difference in mass and hence momentum would make the effect on the bus passengers less violent. If they hit another bus or a loaded 18-wheeler, the effects on the passengers would be much different. Also, seat belts protect in case rollover. An ordinary school bus give no protection in case of rollover.
Isn't there a case to be made that having children buckle up in school buses teaches them to buckle up when they ride in other vehicles?
“[[showed a reckless indifference to human]]
And I believe that definition falls under negligent homicide if Im not mistaken- they are charging htem with higher crimes, but I think they will argue for negligent homicide if they dont have enough evidence for higher crime-”
Depends on the state. Maryland law classifies “depraved heart” murder (which is essentially the same as reckless indifference) as a type of second degree murder. In the end, as with many prosecutions, I would not be surprised if they plea down to a lower charge and/or if the prosecution only brings some lower charge to trial. We’ll see, though.
Or just manipulate the jury like the prosecutors in Rodney King’s civil rights trial.
Thanks. I should have went into the projects for those other white girls that didn’t cone out.
I should have thrown drug dealers and prostitutes out of the car.
But i needed the money badly.
I don’t think God is going to care that i needed the money L(
Many of us do things we later regret....seems to me the hardest thing is to forgive yourself...but we should be as generous as God is. I know, easier said than done.
Thanks. I guess I’ll fin out if those sins an some other pretty bad ones were forgiven. Not looking forward to it. Have a good night.
” - - - in the event of a serious accident (especially involving fire) the time spent cutting kids out of seat belts could lead to further (and more serious) injuries.”
Definitely.
I rolled a pickup and it came to rest on the roof with engine running. I had to really struggle against the my weight on the seat belt buckle to get it to release. A small child could not figure out how to unlatch a binding buckle.
Early info says that the policy had changed a few days before the incident and not all had got the message that it was now required to belt them in>Can you see where I'm going here?
