A contingent of Orthodox rabbis from New York and New Jersey came and “told it like it is” outside of the US Supreme Court on the day of the “gay marriage” hearing. A larger group of 850 Orthodox rabbis publicly demanded the recusal of Justices Ginsburg and Kagan from the case.

We live in a fallen world and even the Satmars of upstate New York sin. As do I and as do we all. I would not vote for the Hildebeast but I do sin nonetheless. We all fall short of the glory and perfection of God.

Thanks for the info. I had not remembered Bill Clinton actually showing limited clemency to the Satmars. OTOH, note from the article that the New Square Satmars (always by overwhelming margins) had often supported Democrats previously but sometimes Republicans as well. They display remarkable discipline as voters. Their overwhelming support for some Democrat leftists is not typical of Chassidic Jews.

Remember the election of a Republican successor to Congressman Anthony Weiner in one of their strongholds in Brooklyn and Queens. The New York General Assembly promptly abolished the district by carving it in pieces to be attached to reliably Democrat districts.
